MTech. Admissions AY 2026-2027

Admissions in M. Tech programmes are carried out in the institute as per the norms of MH-CET Cell, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra (GOM). The rules and regulations are prescribed by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), GOM, Directorate of Technical Education – Maharashtra State. Admission is based on Eligibility criteria & respective entrance examination merit. MTech, admission are also done under sponsorship scheme for working professionals.

Documents Required for M. Tech Admission AY 2026-27 under CAP Seats.

1	All Candidates	SSC (Std. X) marksheet. HSC/Diploma Qualifying Examination marksheet (Undergraduate marksheet) GATE marksheet/Valid Score Card. Leaving / Transfer Certificate. Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate.
In addition to the above documents, candidates are required to produce the following additional documents depending upon the type/category to which they belong.
2	Type – A Candidates	Domicile/ Birth/ Leaving Certificate of candidate indicating place of Birth in the state of Maharashtra.
3	Type – B Candidates	Domicile certificate of candidate/ father/ mother of candidate indicating that he/she is domiciled in the state of Maharashtra.
4	Type – C Candidates	Certificate from the employer in the pro forma – A stating that father/mother of the candidate who is a Central Government/ Government of India undertaking employee is presently posted in Maharashtra.
5	Type – D Candidates	Certificate from the employer in the pro forma – B stating that father/mother of the candidate who is a Maharashtra State Government / Maharashtra State Government undertaking employee. OR undertaking along with documentary evidence from the retired employee stating the place of settlement.
6	Type – E Candidates	Certificate stating that candidate belongs to the Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border area in Proforma – G1. Certificate stating that the mother tongue of the candidate is Marathi in Proforma – G2. (List of the villages in Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border area is available on the website of the Competent Authority).
7	Backward Class Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T.	Caste Certificate. Caste/Tribe validity certificate. (Note: Only of Maharashtra State) *Receipt of Caste Validity can be accepted only if allowed by Admission Authority.

8	Backward Class Candidates belonging to VJ/DT-NT(A)/NT(B)/ NT(C)/NT(D)/O.B.C. / SBC/SEBC	Caste Certificate. Caste validity certificate. Non creamy layer certificate @ valid up to 31^st March 2027. Income certificate stating that candidate’s parent’s annual income for the F.Y. 2026-27 is less than Rs. 8 lakhs from all sources issued by the appropriate competent authority of the Maharashtra State. (If income certificate is not in the name of the father, relevant documents like, father’s death certificate / divorce paper are additionally required). (Note: Only of Maharashtra State) *Receipt of NCL/Caste Validity can be accepted only if allowed by Admission Authority.
9	Defence Candidates (Def-1, Def-2, Def-3)	Defence Service Certificate Proforma – C/D/E (whichever is applicable). Domicile Certificate of father/mother, who is an active defence service person is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.
10	Persons with Disability Candidates	Certificate in the Proforma. Domicile certificate of candidate
11	Orphan Candidate	In addition to the documents mentioned in Sr. No.1. above, Orphan Certificate Proforma–U
12	EBC Candidates	Income certificate stating that candidate’s parent’s annual income for the F.Y. 2025-26 is less than Rs. 8 lakhs from all sources issued by the appropriate competent authority of the Maharashtra State. (If income certificate is not in the name of the father, relevant documents like, father’s death certificate / divorce paper are additionally required). Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra State.
13	Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant candidates	Certificate of posting in case of defence and Government servant’s in Proforma - J. Certificate of stay in refugee camp for those staying in camp in proforma – K Certificate stating that the candidates belong to displaced family proforma – L/M
14	Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Candidate	Eligibility Certificate for Economically Weaker Section Proforma – V issued by Tehsildar Office of Maharashtra Government. (Note: Only of Maharashtra State)
